EPITOME BAND HISTORY
On February 22 1989, Epitome Band was formed. Epitome was started by B man and Dee Bo. The name came from a spelling word used in an assignment in class. After understanding the meaning of the word, it was official. Epitome was born.
Many members did come and go but B man and Dee Bo did not want to give up. Bit by bit Epitome band got members for life. Calvin Charles (Keyboards), Alonzo (Keyboard), Bam Bam (Drummer), and Face (Vocalist). Back with the band is the
smooth rhythms and beats of “THE HAMMER” (percussionist). From 1992 that was the Epitome Family. There were a few stop over members that helped along the way but the core of the band was always Bman, Dbo, Hammer, Calvin, Zo, Bam and Face.
Epitome Band expanded the sound of the band again by adding New Member Ms. Ty “Bamboo” Graham (Vocalist), ED Lover (Guitar) and Bass Zo (Bassist).
Over the years some core members played for some of the hottest bands in DC Metro Area. Bands like: Hot Cold Sweat, Physical Wonder, Familiar Faces, 911, Solo, Junk Yard, Proper Utensils, and Back Yard to name a few. So with all that history you will not be disappointed but completely floored by the professional sound and exciting high energy showmanship of EPITOME BAND (THE SUPA BAND). |
